I first heard about this big move this AM on the radio, tonight I found a story on WBIR about it. It seems that a 23 foot wide and 250+ long steam generator, and a cadre of support vehicles, is moving from the Forks of The River to a St Paul, Virginia.
That is a 170 mile trip, no big deal right. Wrong the steam generator and it’s entourage can not exceed 10 miles an hour and rarely goes even that fast. The move begins Saturday AM when the steam generator moves from Forks of The River to Jefferson City along Hwy 11E. That is a bit more then 26 miles and it will take 10 hours…WOW!! I will never complain about the person going 45 on the interstate again.
